TAUMARUNUI, This Day
On Saturday evening the mail bags containing the outward mail from Raurimu and Kaitieke were placed in a box on the railway station to be lifted when the express went through at 3 o’clock on Monday morning. The discovery was made on Sunday that the mail box had been rifled, the bags being cut open and all the contents stolon.
