ALLEGED “PENCE” REMANDED
AUCKLAND, This Day,
Raymond Strong, aged 33, pleaded guilty at the Police Court to charges of breaking and entering and the theft from two shops of goods valued at £25. Tie stated that John Arthur Crawford, aged 37, charged with receiving in connection with his offence had no knowledge of the robberies. Strong admitted that he hired a taxi to remove the stolen goods and, having no money, presented the driver with a packet of cigarettes and a tobacco pouch from the stolen property. Accused was committed for sentence. Crawford was remanded for a report by the Probation Officer. —Press Assn.
