Gisborne Ko. 1 well. —Sunk to 2810 feet in very soft shale. The 6J inches diameter casing has reached 2860 feet.

Gisborne No. 2 well. —Drilled to 545 feet in shale, then sand and shale, the last 30 feet in hard sand. Total 600 feet. The 124 inches diameter casing is down to 360 feet. —Press Assn.
