TURNSTILES PROPOSAL
FOR KENSINGTON PARK,
INTERESTED PARTIES TO CONFER.
Realising tlu* importance of correct gate cheeking ;it Kensington Park, Hi.- Whangarei Racing Club advise.l the lioio Council by letter last night that it had recently been elieiting enquiries regarding the cost .and working of turnstiles. It was recognised that the erection of same at the park was the only means of absolutely checking the gate receipts. The club j had met representatives of John Burns and (’.iv,, of Auckland, which firm had supplied turnstiles to the Auckland Racing and Trotting Clubs, Otahuhu Trotting Club, Hamilton Racing Club and others with most satisfactory results. This being a matter which pertained to the vital interests of all clubs and societies using the park, it was asked that the council should appoint delegates to confer with representatives of the Whangarei Rugby Union, Northland Trotting Club, the Whangarei A. and P. Society and the Racing Club at a conference to be held hi the Racing ?* Club’s office on the evening of doth inst., at 7.d1l p.m. when full details will be placed before the meeting.
