A cable message from Sydney says that Sir Tom Bridges, retiring Governor of South Australia, is a passenger by the Aorangi. He intends to do some deep-sea fishing in New Zealand before he returns to England,
Mr Norman Jack, who has been on the staff of the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-operative Ltd. for ihe past five years, has been appointed secretary of the company in succession to Mr Joseph Maekie. Mr MJackie has held the position practically since the inception of the company, a period of over twenty-two years, and his highly valued services have earned for him his appointment ito a position in which duties will be considerably lighter. Shareholders will be' pleased to learn that Mr Maekie is still continuing Ms association with the company, and their interests will be well served in the appointment of Mr Jack,i to whom is extended congratulations on his well merited promotion.
