A piessagc f-roip Los Angeles states that the Judge was compelled to orrlpi; a recess in the trial of Hickman as jury women paled when forced to inspect photographs of the dismembered re-, mains of Marion Parker. Some, swayed in their seats. Counsel for the defence introduced pictures attempting to prdve, by their horror, that Hickman must be insane.—A. and N.Z.
