WILLIAM CULPAN.

(Speial to “Northern Advoeat.”) AUCKLAND, This Day;

The death occurred of William Culpan, aged 77, at Parnell this'morning. Hw parents, came to Auckland with the Scottish settlers who arrived in 1842 in the ships Duchess of Argyle and Jane Gifford.

William Culpan retired from the position of accountant to Messrs Hesketh and Richmond, solicitors, ten years ago. For a long period he was organist at St. Presbyterian Church and was also the oldest member of the Auckland Bowling Club and a founder of the Old Colonists’ Association. lie is survived by two sons and one married daughter, 1
