Although no official announcement has yet been mafic, it is practically certain that this year’s boat race will take place on Saturday, March 24 — somewhat earlier thpn usual. The tide on this date will permit of a start about three p.m. Saturday, March 31, has been suggested by Oxford University, who are the challengers, but the tide is unsuitable in every respect, and would require the race to start about 9.30 a.m.
