The North Island croquet championships were cohtinued yesterday with the following results:— North Island Championship Doubles, Final. —Colonel Dupre and Miss Steele (England) beat Mrs McDowell and Mrs Cole, 26—17. Ladies’ Open Singles (second life). — In the third round Miss Retallack (England) beat Mrs Kiblcwhitc, 26—0, and Mrs beat Miss Watkins, 26 —0. In the fourth round, Mrs Goldsbury beat Mrs! Glefl Watkins, 26--15, Miss Hesketh beat Mrs Sheet, 26—3, and Miss Retallack (England) beat Mrs Gambrill,224,6 —4, The following are to represent the North Island in the test match against England.—Singles: H. P. Stratton (Hastings), R. Caughley (Wellington), J. Murray (Palmerston North), Yen, Creed Meredith (Wanganui). Doubles: R. Caughley (Wellington), H. P. Stratton (Hastings), H. A. Penn Mrs C. Watkins (Hastings).
