Aii offer was received by the Otahnlni Trotting Club from the trainer of 'Native Child, who on February 11 will trv conclusions with Great Bin-
gen in an exhibition pacing bout over a mile at Addington, to visit Auckland and give an exhibition over a similar distance at the Otahuhu Club’s fixture the following week for a purse.
The executive has replied that the j club did not think it necessary to | stage an exhibition go, . but would offer a purse of £IOO for Native Chief j to lower the existing mile record, or. in | the event of the pacer succeeding in j reducing the time by two seconds, the j purse would be increased to £255. |
