General Schnee, ex-Governpr of German East Africa, drew attention to the activities of the Hilton mission in East Africa, especially the scheme to unite Tanganyika with British territory. • - - He added that there was muck talk in Britain of a great East African dominion, but that would be a violation of the mandates system and of German rights amounting to dish one s -- —He added that Germany should, not agree to such changes without her consent. ■Dr Stresemann, replying, said-thtt the, German Government would ee¥tSmly oppose alteration of the Mandate system in East Africa and elsewhere.— A. and N.Z.
