WHANGAEEI DEAD HEAT FOE, SECOND. ‘ TEIAL EIGHTS IN ACTION. HAMILTON, This Day. The Hamilton Eowing Club’s Anniversary Day regatta was held on the Waikato river yesterday in fine weather. Following are the principal results: Junior fours: Tauranga 1, St. George and Whangarei, dead Heat, 2. Won by two lengths. Senior challenge fours and Ladies’ Challenge Cup: Hamilton B (San 1 os, 1 W. Bayly, G. St. Clair, E. Waters) 1, I St. George 2, Waitemata 3. Won by I five lengths. The only starters, [ Handicap, single sculls; E. Cruiek- ■ shank (65secs) 1, T, W. St. Clair 2,1 C. Molesworth 3. All are Hamilton oarsmen. Won by a length. j Four picked crews rowed in two | eight-oared trials, which provided ex- j cellent racing, the first of its kind i seen on the Waikato. —Press Assn.
