PACT DENUNCIATION
ITALY’S CALM ASSURANCE,
ROME, January 29,
The “Fpglio Dordnini,” in which tM Fascist official communications* appear, publishes a Note declaring that Italy postponed six months ago denunciation of an Italo-Yugoslav treaty of friendship as a proof of Italy’s good faith despite the fact that Yugoslavia for the past four years had not displayed goodwill, but on the contrary had taken every opportunity to organise anti-Italian and anti-Fascist demonstrations.
"While newspapers unanimously calumniated the Italian army and people the Yugoslav army had been prepared directly against Italy and Yugoslav Imperialism claims Italian territory from Pola to Udine. Yugoslav-Italophobia reached a paroxysm after the signature of the Fra*o-Yugoslav Treaty. The Yugoslavs now, after six months, give a new turn W the policy with Italy, that great nation which can wait without fearing the events of the future. —A. and N.Z. •' and Sun.
