f -Heartened by the success achieved - at- the aquatic carnival at Onorahi on Xow Year's Day, enthusiasts on the committee have decided to make a hold hid to place the Whangarei Harbour Regatta Association upon a less trying footing. They have saddled themselves with the burden of organising and running a number of dance's and other functions as a moans of augmenting the funds in preparation for the next regatta. The first dance will take place at Manganese Point on Thursday night, and it promises to bo a popular one, as in addition to the runniifg of the Eva and Rakanui, which will leave the Town Wharf at 7.15, there will be quite a fleet of pleasure craft taking their complements to the prettily situated hall. The Eva and Eakanui will call at Onerahi j ■bn the way to and from Manganese ! Point. 1
