Mr A. C. Elphinatone said that in the last three years Queensland’s population had increased by 48,000, whereas the number of factories had decreased by 15, land selected by 918,000 acres and mineral production by £658,000, He declared that Queensland was only kept alive by loan money.—A. and N.Z.
