EGYPTIAN INDEPENDENCE
MADAME ZAGHLOUL’S TASK. TO COMPLETE HUSBAND’S WORK. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, September 15. The Cairo correspondent of the “Daily News” says: Madame Zaghloul informed the Wafdists of her intention to undertake the late Zaghloul Pasha’s task. She said: “I am pleased we are going to persevere until the country is independent. I will not spare sacrifice to that end and am happy to be considered your mother.”
She is the second wife of Zaghloul and a daughter of Mustapha Fahmi, several times Premier, She is an ardent Nationalist and a brilliant politician.—A. and N.Z.
