INTERESTING LECTURE
KOREA AND ITS PEOPLE
There were large attendances at the three meetings addressed by Adjutant Agatha Battersby, a missionary from Korea, at the Salvation Army Hall yesterday. Special interest was created in the visitor's relating of her experiences in Russia, which country she visited in 1925.
Tonight the Missionary will give a most interesting lecture on “Korea: Its People, Customs, Etc., ” and her own particular work in a dispensary there. Those attending are promised something out of the ordinary, and a full house is anticipated. Tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 o'clock the Adjutant will address a special meeting, for ladies only, in the Army Hall, when Mrs L. J. Brake, the Mayoress, has kindly consented to preside. Afternoon tea will be provided by the members of the Home League.
