LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS
TOO MUCH EXPECTED. (Received 10 a.m, LONDON, September 1(5. The “Daily News’* says: “There was a touch of pathos about the reintrocluetion of Dominion players in the Northern Union. Leeds played O’Rourke ami Moore before they had been in England a week, resulting in their becoming the laughing-stock of the League. Wigan tried New Zealanders in false positions, apparently expecting miracles. The Dominion players are merely human and have yet to .prove their worth, either in general methods or in revealing genius inspiring others.” —Sun.
