POLICE OFFICER SHOT.
(Received 9 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Sept. 15. A mysterious street siege occurred '■ in the suburb of Pera. Police sur- I rounded a ho,use and demanded the surrender of four men suspected of being concerned in a conspiracy,.. the , nature of which was not disclosed.The men replied with shots, killing' an officer and seriously wounding two \ constables. . Sharp fighting followed, in the conspirators were killed. A large quantity of arms was discovered in the house, indicating an important movement.—A. and N.Z,
