DISQUALIFIED LEAGUERS
GOT JUST DUE
WELLINGTON, This Day
At a meeting of the Wellington Rugby League a proposal to debar the men suspended by the New Zealand League from admission to the Wellington grounds was deferred till a report is received from headquarters. W. Desmond, one of the two Wellington representatives said if there had been no strike the New Zealand Council would have made £BOOO and the team would have won 80 per cent of the games. They had to contend with disloyal players, who made it very hard for the rest. Personally, he had no complaint as the strikers got absolutely what they deserved.— Press Assn.
