NOTORIOUS TRIO
ADMIT FURTHER CRIME. REMANDED FOR*SENTENCE. WELLINGTON, This Day. Three brothers, Albert Windsor, a painter, aged 31, Joseph Windsor, a labourer, aged 28, and Lawrence Windsor, a labourer, aged 25, w r ere charged yesterday with haying broken and entered the Day’s Bay pavilion on January 5 and having stolen f 72 in money, 5000 cigarettes, a quantity of tobacco, cigars, and chocolates, and a safe and cashbox, as well as, other goods of total value of £ll9 95., Counsel for the accused stated that his clients intended to plead guilty.
Detective 'McLennan said he interviewed the three accused at the gaol. They admitted that the three of them were responsible for the burglary and that the goods discovered were the' proceeds of it.
All three accused, who are serving a sentence of 12 months’ imprisonment for escaping from custody at Palmerston North, when being charged with safe breaking, pleaded guilty and wore committed to the Supreme Court for sentAnce.—.Press Assn. ■;
