It is said that “The Silver Treasure,” a screen version of his “Nostromo,” is even more powerful and absorbing, with George O’Brien and Lou Tellegen leading a j star east. The adventures in search of of the treasure, and the added fear and peril from the treasure being tainted and exerting an evil influence, constitute an intriguing story. Catalina Island supplies some gorgeous backgrounds. This powerful feature is supported by a capital programme of News and comedy, and a special screening of Part I of the Royal Visit to New Zealand.
