The Whan Valley School reopened this morning with a slightly reduced attendance compared with that at the end of the December quarter. The old Standard IV. class of 20 will be passing on to the junior High School, and the new enrolments this morning totalled 10, leaving a deficiency .to be made up. A number of children have not yet returned from the holidays, there being fully 20 absentees due to this cause. If parents would insist, upon regular attendance the school would go up in grade, and the services of at least two good assistants would be retained. It is to be hoped that parents will do their utmost to assist the teachers in developing the school by sending their children regularly. |
