GRIME’S VICTORY, A SURPRISING RESULT. SYDNEY, Monday. Grime scaled 9st OJlb and Butcher lOst sslb. His greatest admirers never expected the match to finish so quickly. Grime is small in- comparison with the massive Butcher. When the weights were considered it did not appear to be a fair match. Butcher towered over his crouching opponent and drove several hard rights to the head. Grime’s evasiveness amused the crowd, who roared its applause in the fourth round. Butcher coming in with a long left, Grime ducked and drove his right to the solar plexus. Butcher fell on his face, rolled over in pain, and was counted out.—A. and N.Z.
