According to a statement issued by the Accident Underwriter's Association of New South Wales, the rates for insurances under the Workers Compensation Act, 1926, which comes into force on July 1 next, will be at i least four times greater than tho old ! rates. j The president of tho chamber of ! manufactures (Mg Newlands), rofer- . ring to the new rates said that the | increased costs must be offset by every j practicable economy. Towards this J end the Chamber was installing its | own X-ray equipment, massage parj lours, electrical and hot air treatj incuts, etc., hoping by this means to ! protect itself against the malingerer | and to give every facility to the hon- ; cst worker to regain normal health as | soon as possible.—A. and N.Z.
