AUSTRALIAN MINERS '-•C "'V ’ EVERYTHING IN TRAIN. MINOR SECTIONAL TROUBLES. (Received 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Everything is now in order for resumption of work by the miners tomorrow. The striking engine-drivers .and firemen, numbering 1000, returned on Friday -and Saturday to prepare the mines. Efforts are being made to settle several sectional disputes which were in existence before the general strike began. The trouble at Coal,cliff, over wages, which had been in existence since the (beginning of the year, has been settled. A hitch has occurred on the South Maitland field over the conditions of Tvork. With the mines resuming, the question of relief orders for unemployed will cease to be the big matter it is at present with the Police Department. During the past few weeks the average number of orders issued per week has been 400, the value of each rang- - ing -from 6/6 to 1/0. It is expected tha4 the claims will be made till the (first pay is received. The shipping companies are making preparations to resume their timetabes which, have been disorganised hy the shortage of coal. —A. and N.Z.
