AMUSEMENTS

LYCEUM TONIGHT. There is an unusual and appealing romance in “The Beautiful City,” the current picture at the Lyceum Theatre. It is the love of an Italian boy, Tony, played by the star, Richard Barthclmess, for Mollie, an Irish eel Icon, portrayed by Dorothy Gish.

“The Beautiful City,” which was written especially for Mr Barthclmess, is a dramatisation of Mr Goulding’s first impressions of New York. It is the story of an Italian immigrant boy and his struggles to free himself from the gang feuds and sinister infiii/mecs which surround the immigrant in the East Side of Manhattan.
