CHINESE CONUNDRUM
I INTERNAL HOSTILITIES. I LATEST DEVELOPMENTS. •'‘ • ‘ ' ’" ( ' (Received 1 p.m.' PEKING, June 18. The Shan-si forces are now holding their own against the Kuo Min-ehun invaders. While other Wu Pei-fu forces were advancing against Kuo •Min-ehun, Shan-si shell fire caused the blowing up of large supplies of Kuo Min-ehun ammunition at Tatung station, in northern Shan-si. Acute food shortage is reported at Kalgam, which is the headquarters of Kuo Min-chun. Several .members of’ Cabinet, in addition to Dr, Wellington Ivoo, have now taken up their portfolios; hence the political situation is somewhat better, though it is not expected that Sun Yat-sen will remain Premier for long.—Reuter.
