INSPECTION SYSTEM. UNIVERSAL APPLICATION. (Received 9 a.m.) GENEVA, June 10. The Labour Conference Maritime Committee investigating the conditions of seamen's work, rejected the shipowners’ proposal that the recommendations of the Conference Bureau should be restricted to principles common to all established systems of inspection, and should apply only to countries where a system of maritime inspection had not yet been established.—Reuter.
