N.S.W. GOVERNMENT’S DECISION. (Received 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The State Govern nent has decided to establish a State Insurance ■ Office, where every class of insurance business will be transacted. A bill is already drafted. It is almost identical with’ the Queensland scheme. ' Private insurance, companies regard the. proposal w T ith considerable misgiving, as it will not only compete against them on a lower- premium basis, but also proposes to make bonus payments to policy-holders from excess profits.—A. and N.Z.
