PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Hikurangi Town Board in pursuance of its powers under, tlje Town Boards Act, Municipal Corporations Act, Rating Act, Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, Local Bodies Loans Act, Public Health Act, and their respective Amendments, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf intends at its ordinary meeting on the 6th day of July, 1926, to Make and Levy for the period commencing Ist April, .1926, and ending 31st March, 1927, the following Rates upon the Unimproved Value of all Rateable Property within the Hikurangi Town District and such Rates ji to be payable in each ease in one sum j on the 20th July, 1926, to the Collector at the Board'S Office, during office hours:— AMALGAMATED RATE of 8d in the £ in lieu of a General Rate of , 4 69/96d in the £; a Lighting Rate of Jd in the £; a Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of 5/6d in the £; a Streets and Bridges Loan Interest Rate of 1 25/48d in the £; a Special Street Metalling Loan Interest Rate of 7/96d in the £; a Bridge Approaches Loan Interest Rate of j 5/48d in the £. Also a Waterworks Loan Interest Rate of 2 13/16d in the £, which will not be collected for the current year. Also a Water Supply Rate of id in the £. Consumers minimum 10/-, non-consumers 5/-. Also a Uniform Sanitation Fee of £2 per annum in respect of every dwelling-house, shop, or factory, or other occupied building within the Town District, under the provisions ■and Regulations of the Public Health Act and the Municipal Corporations Act.
