The' entire crowd knelt on the ground during the reading of the official Independence prayer adopted, for the occasion. *
Filipino Independent church services' and Union Protestant prayer services were held in various parts of the city,. and services wore also hold in the provinces, except in regions inhabited byp Mohammedans ail’d ’ non-Christians.— Reuter. . ;
