BRITISH MAKE PREFERRED. 1 I | (Received 12.5 p.m.) LONBON, February 22. Replying in the House of Commons to Sir Harry Brittain, Mr A. M. Samuel said that, as far as he was aware, foreign typewriters were not imported in sections for assembling in Britain. Three different makes of British typewriters wore used in Government offices. Mr Ronald McNeill told Sir A. Holbrook that 24,700 foreign typewriters were bought in war time, when no British .machines were available. British machines wore now being increasingly bought.—A. and N.Z.
