an important case. IHEABD BY SUPREME COURT. •CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. An important life insurance case was heard iby the Supreme Court. A man made a proposal to take out a policy, hut before the policy was issued he underwent-an operation, and died a few days later. Plaintiffs were the executors of the will of Robert Gotland, farmer, and the defendants the Southern .Cross Assurance Company, Limited. The defence was that the proponent wilfully omitted to give certain infor--mation material to his statement relative io his health. A was asked for, and Mr Justice Adams adjourned the case in order to consider the pgnsuit points A s sn.
