PRESENTATION

■MR AND MRS A. V. WINCHESTER. On the eve of their departure from Whangarci r presentations were made by the staff of the Bank of Australasia to Mr A. ;V. Winchester, late manager of the Whangarei branch, who has been transferred to Christchurch, and Mrs Winchester. The memento took the form of a case of pipes, with name inscribed, to Mr Winchester, and a handsome fruit bowl to Mrs Winchester. A short speech was delivered by Mr Dando in making the presentation, and both recipients suitably responded Mrs Winchester left Whangarei by today’s express.. Mr Winchester leaves by m'otor car for Wellington on Thursday morning.
