' Investigation based on figures of bacteriological tests supplied by the Director of Milk Supplies shows that more than half Melbourne’s milk, or more than ' two-thirds, according to standards adopted in New York, is un--1 fit for human consumption. The milk j supplied to metropolitan hospitals falls J very far short of fulfilling the conditions which expert medical opinion deems necessary.—A. and N.Z.
