Evidence was given at the inquest concerning the death of Mr. Evan Jones that after receiving £150,0001 from the sale of his estate he declared that the. money would have to go ta 1 creditors and the family would be' penniless. This delusion was due- to illness, as he left £250,000. A verdict, was returned of suicide ' whilst of unsound mind.—A. and N.ZL- ' Mr. Evan Jones, of Llanelly, was found on December 20 last hanging from a tree in a quarry near his residence. The deceased was described as a modern Dick Whittington, He began life as a draper's boy, and afterwards became a shipowner and colliery proprietor.
