CUPPER IN DISTRESS
AT GALE’S MERCY NO AUXILIARY BOWER. PARTY OF FIFTY ABOARD. (Received 9 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, February 3. A telegram from San Pedro, California, states that the clipper ship Indiana, with a motion picture company of 50 persons aboard, is in distress at sea in Catalina Channel, at the mercy of a. strong gale. The ship is an old one, without power other than sails, but is believed to be seaworthy. A report that Scena Owen is among the "stars” aboard has been authentically contradicted.—Reuter.
