TRIPLE ATROCITY

CONSTABLE IN CUSTODY.

LONDON, November 29. A strange triple tragedy occurred at Worcester. A charwoman on entering the Garibaldi Inn in the morning found the bar in disorder, money scattered on the floor, and the proprietor, Ernest Laight, and his wife dead in the cellar, both shot, while a son aged two years was upstairs, suffocated. A probationer constable, Herbert Burrows, 22 years of age, a friend of the family, was arrested on a charge of murder. He visited the inn between 10 o'clock and midnight and reported for duty next morning. A search of Buirows' lodgings revealed a revolver containing three spent cartridges.—Sun.
