OBITUARY
MRS. W. McKENZIE,
Advice received from Waipu tliis morning conveys the sad intelligence of the death at Gisborne yesterday of Mrs. W. McKcnzie, relict of the late Air. W. McKenzie, "who died at the same place on October 31 last. The | deceased lady, who was 32 years of j age, was a daughter of Air. and Airs, t J. J. Finlayson, of Waipu, who were | the first settlers in that district. | It will be recalled that at the time I of her husband's death, Airs. AleKen- | ' j zie and her son, five years of age, | were inmates of the Gisborne llosj pital, both being stricken down with [ pneumonic influenza. Besides the son, who is still in hospital, there is another boy, di years, ami a girl, years of age, left to | mourn their loss and for whom great sympathy will b'e felt, as also for Air. and Mrs. Finlayson.
