During tjie past week or two the sheep farmers of the district have been particularly busy shearing their flocks. Messrs Love and ] Gunson have, up to the present, shorn ; 3300 at the former's shed and have I ready for the market 63 bales. Conj trary to expectations, the sheep handli ed are in very forward condition, the ! lambs being especially so. j Messrs.. Stephens have nearly comj pleted shearing their flock and the i shearers engaged there also report j that the sheep, more particularly the j wethers, are in excellent condition, j Mr ft. Berridge recently installed a j machine, and expects to start work on • his sheep in the course of a day or , two.
