Mr W. T. R. Preston, whose report to the Government alleged that the North Atlantic Conference was a combine operating in restraint of Canadian trades, states that the late Sir W. \ Petersojn, who expired suddenly when ( attending; a shipping inquiry meeting aiid whose body*, left 'for ,E.nglattd< *oday, wis killed by .''damnably lying "j cablegrams, sent to the directors of Ills/ company by "Agents' of the "shipping combine." He expressed the belief that Sir W.
