The Hon. W. Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture, states that the Government has decided to establish a dairy laboratory, and also n miniature butter and cheese factory to be run in conuection with the laboratory. The site will be at the Veterinary Laboratory Farm at Wallaceville. The Minister says there is need for facilities to investigate various troubles arising in the manufacture and handling of butter and cheese and subsidiary products such as casein. These troubles are increased by the spread of home separation, and reports from London on the condition of butter and cheese on arrival at the market have shown that there has been somtj deterioration in quality. To countci this scientific investigation and research work is necessary—Press A*sn.
