NOT WANTED IN SYDNEY. ELECTRICITY UNDERTAKINGS. it '(Received 11.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. At a conference of reprentatives of local governing bodies interested in the supply of electricity from the City Council, at which about 28 councils were represented, a motion was carried stating that the meeting considered that the distribution of electricity within the metropolitan area, other than what was required by the Railway Department, could best be handled by municipal enterprise, without Government interference.—A. and N.Z.
