The executive of t'he Returned Soldiers Waterside Workers' Union has decided to prosecute a number of shipping companies which it is alleged are not giving preference to soldiers on the waterfront. —A. and N.Z. WIDER SCOPE. INTERSTATE EMPLOYMENT. (Received 10.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The executive of the Returned Soldiers' Waterside Workers' Union has decided to enlarge the scope of its operations and to apply for work in the interstate and coastal services sphere, so far Avorked exclusively by the Waterside Workers' Federation. The steamer Levuka obtained a crew without trouble.—A. and N.Z.
