LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
CHINESE MEMBERSHIP. TITLE TO COUNCIL SEAT. (Received 11.45 a.m.) PEKIN, August 24, A group of members has submitted a motion to the House of Representatives demanding the withdrawal of China from the League of Nations unless she is again given a seat in the League Council at the forthcoming sessions. The motion points out that the League accepted the principle of geographical representation on the Council for non-permanent members and that Asia is not .now so represented; therefore it is contended that China is entitled to re-election to the Council.—Sun.
