SOUTH AFRICA v. KENT. WOOLLEY COMPLETES 2000. (Received 0.10 a.m.) LONDON, August 23. The South Africans commenced a match against Kent at Canterbury today. Kent had compiled .115 for 5 wickets when stumps were drawn. The weather was fine and the wicket good until just before six o'clock, when rain stopped play. Woolley scored 170, being the first to complete 2000 runs for the season. He batted for 1(50 minutes and "hit four sixes and 15 fours.

Hardinge scored 118, including 15 fours. —A. and N.Z.
