FAIR TO FINE
Mr K. K. Wragge telegraphs to the "Northern Advocate" the following forecast for four days: —The Antarctic disturbance Caleta has been backed off by energetic high pressure and is passing south. A tropical depression in (he neighbourhood (if Xorfolk Island should mnke southing when the pressure relaxes, thus giving provisionally fair to fine weather over the major portion of the period, with winds chiefly from between south, south-east, north-oast, north and north-west. Sea moderate to rising. The sun is again octive. OFFICIAL FORECAST. The following forecast by the Government Meteorologist was telegraphed to tho "Advocate" for the 24 hours from !) a.m. to-day: — Easterly, moderate to strong winds, and backing by east to north. Increasing haze and cloudiness cind milder. The glass has a falling tendency. The seas iiml tides will be moderate.
