J LEOPOLD-LOEB TRIAL. I I ACCUSED CHANGE COUNTENANCE RESPONSIBILITY AVERTED. (Receive 9.5 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 19. The trial <of Leopold and Locb at Chicago is drawing to a close. The District Attorney. demanded sentence of death. The boys lost their air of indifference as the prosecution insisted that if they were sufficiently responsible to be sent to prison they were eligible to be hanged. Women again stormed the doors of the courtroom.—A. and N.Z.
