BOUNDARY ALTERCATION.

DIPLOMATIC POSTPONEMENT,

The Irish Free State President, Mr W. T. Cosgrave, at Saturday's conference concerning the Ulster boundary dispute demanded that full effect be given to Article 12 of the Irish Treaty and pressed for the passage before Parliament adjourns of a bill overriding Ulster's refusal to appoint a representative to the Boundary Commission. Mr Mac Donald agreed to introduce a bill immediately, but the debate thereon will be adjourned until Parliament reassembles in October.
It is hoped that negotiations in the interval will result in a settlement—Sun.

SUDDEN DECISION
(Received 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, August 4. It was announced in the House of Commons that Mr J. H. Thomas was going to Dublin this evening in consequence of a further communication from Mr Cosgrave.—Reuter.
CHANGE OF MIND,
PROMPTS HURRIED MISSION.

LONDON, August 4,
Mr Thomas and Mr Henderson hurried to Dublin owing to Mr Cosgrave changing his mind. When in London on Saturday he agreed that the Bill to amend the Irish Treaty Act should be postponed, but the Cabinet at Dublin declined to endorse this, fearing the Republicans.
It is understood that Mr Thomas -will now propose that the British Parliament shall meet on October 14, instead of October 28.—A. and N.Z.
